The 2021 Volkl Deacon 79 remains unchanged except for new graphics, maintaining its reputation for being energetic, quick, and grippy. Constructed with Volkl's Dual Wood Core, it's designed to suit intermediate skiers with a build that's not the top tier but still impressively robust. The inclusion of a steel laminate and Volkl's 3D Ridge technology enhances its durability and performance.
While the Dual Wood Core may not offer the same strength and stability as the higher-end Deacon models, it perfectly matches the needs of its intended audience. The 3D Ridge technology, although being phased out in favor of Volkl's new frame build, still has its advantages. This design, which consolidates the mass through the ski's center, provides added stability, making the Deacon 79 a reliable front-side carver.
