How We Rate Our Used Outdoor Gear

We never list gear that we would not personally use ourselves. While used gear naturally comes with signs of adventure, we avoid excessively damaged, unsafe, or unusable products.

Every item is checked for overall functionality, usability, and condition before being listed online or placed on the sales floor. If something has heavier wear, repairs, missing parts, or notable flaws, we do our best to show and describe it clearly.

Our goal is simple: honest used gear ratings with no surprises when your package shows up or you see it in person.

New

These items are essentially in brand new condition with little to no visible signs of use. Some may still include original tags, packaging, or factory protective materials.

Slightly Used

These items have seen light use and remain in very solid overall condition. You may notice small cosmetic marks, light scuffs, or minor wear from normal outdoor use.

Some Wear

These products show regular signs of use from real outdoor adventures. Cosmetic wear is noticeable, but the item still has plenty of usable life left.

• Still fully functional
• Great budget-friendly option

Heavy Wear

These items have been well-used and show heavier cosmetic wear, aging, or previous repairs. While not pretty, they are still functional and usable for their intended purpose.

• May include repairs or older components
• Still functional and usable
• Priced accordingly for condition

Very Worn / Partially Broken

These items have major wear, damage, or partial functionality issues. They will still be functional for their intended use, but some aspects may need repair. Typically, products here will have only cosmetic damage.
