The SMC Double Pulley is the largest in SMC’s Prusik Minding Pulley (PMP) range, designed to handle the most demanding loads and tasks. Featuring a high-efficiency precision sealed ball bearing, it effectively counters performance losses typical in large pulley systems. The wide base design maximizes the effectiveness of a Prusik hitch, making it an essential component in progress capture and hauling systems.
Versatile and reliable, the SMC Double Pulley is perfect for various applications, including progress capture, hauling systems, crevasse rescue, high-lines, and Tyrolean traverses. The low-profile fasteners reduce snagging, and the D-shaped top hole accommodates up to three large rescue carabiners or multiple small carabiners, allowing for full rotation.
Solid, precisely tensioned side plates aid one-handed use and further minimize snagging. The sealed ball bearings ensure optimal efficiency, reducing performance-robbing resistance often seen in multiple component systems. Unlike needle bearings, the sealed ball bearings are not prone to failure under misaligned loads or with twisted gear.
